Everything is too sporadic to have any kind of strategy. It's impossible to see the enemy bullets. I feel that most of these issues stem from the games framing. I recommend a more zoomed in look, with everything slowed down a touch.

It's just not any fun hitting super tiny, super fast ships with tiny bullets

slo0om747 responds:

Okay, thank you.

A lot of really nice touches but the game is far too slow for my liking. It takes forever to get anywhere, on the second level when I figured out the solution I thought "Oh dear god this is gonna take forever!" The pacing absolutely killed it for me, even with the level 3 ability.

Edit:
It came as a surprise that people said it was "too fast", sorry that your audience cannot agree :(. I would like to add, though, that in addition to the movement speed, the general level layout is also a contributing factor. Puzzles that require you to go back and scan for hints and needing to go to previous floors (which respawns all the enemies on the "current" floor) adds a great deal of tedium to the game.

This was the other nail in the coffin for me, especially since I missed the floor hints in the first 2 levels and wandered around for a good while, and I find these types of puzzles more arbitrary than challenging.

Regardless, I hope your game sells well, it's clear a lot of effort and polish went into it. I just wanted to share what was holding me back as a potential sale. Good luck!

Wolod responds:

I heard similar point before. And I also heard some people complaining that it's too fast. You'll never be able to please everyone ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

overall, it felt really tedious. Levels seem to require dozens of extra click that don't really add to the challenge, which gets boring on a trackpad.
Would vote higher if (1 or any of the following):
A. I could click once and drag to move
B. The levels were refined and reduced to necessary components
C. It had keyboard controls... somehow?

MrNannings responds:

I updated the game with keyboard controls, thanks for the feedback!.

4-3 is crazy unfair. I don't much like The Witness style overworld, it doesn't add much, i'd rather you just make 2 different games that were a bit more fleshed out

Edit: It's not that I don't like The Witness, but if you're gonna go that route you need to justify it with some meta game, rather than a super linear-platformer overworld, since it forced the main games to be an even smaller resolution. Honestly, if you had just released the yellow game and made it auto start the next level I would have voted higher. Likewise if you made the overworld less linear, with maybe branching paths in the choice of levels like Super Mario Bros 3, I would have voted higher.

JauqGames responds:

I personally like The Witness, hence the subtle inspiration. So, to each their own. I hope you still enjoyed your time in my game.

can't play past the second level, shift does nothing on my mac and LB doesn't do anything on a ps4 or Switch controller. d-pad doesn't work on the Switch controller either.

Great art and great music but the game doesn't work

Edit: yeah, that's it, nothing told me to hold it while I run, it just said shift just like all the other buttons. I'm not a big fan of run buttons in games, especially puzzle platformers. I didn't see a good reason to add it to this game instead of just making his speed the run speed by default.

Cool game overall, but I recommend changing shift to say "-> + SHIFT"

Wolod responds:

Holding shift allows you to run and therefore jump over wider gaps. It's a pretty common control scheme in video games. It has to work on Mac. Perhaps you just pressed shift but didn't hold it? As for the controller. Game's engine supports Xbox-compatible controllers. Unfortunately it doesn't guarantee correct work of other gamepads.

I'm sad to hear that you encountered these problems. Anyway thanks for playing!

Not a fan of the controls and the pacing. Overall it could use more polish, too. Cute panda, though.

Congrats on Daily 2nd!

Artur-Felipe responds:

Thank you, I intend to improve.

A nice little short game.

Nerdotik responds:

WOOW! Thanks man for the 4/5, i appreciate it! :D Porkin YEEEEEEAH!

lots of bad decisions on what would otherwise be a really cool game.
- I'd much prefer Z and X over Z and space
- red should let me stand on red, not go through it
- please make the menu work with keyboard only.

I'll be checking back for updates, the game has a lot of potential. good graphics and music. the jump feel nice, the level layout is pretty cool

bloomgames responds:

Thank you for your feedback! We have already made the 2º change you suggested and we would like to know what you think :D Also we are working on the "keyboard only menu"

Edit: Just published a version where you can "Retry", after you die, pressing Space Bar. I hope it is useful for you :D

The graphics and sound are great, but I'm not into the awkward platforming and level design. the exploration aspect seems like a chore compared to most Metroidvanias.

it's lacking action, the rooms feel really empty and I'm just walking to the next door.

Please remove any need for the mouse, why not just use space or Enter to interact?

gamesbynoe responds:

You can simply use UP key for any interaction.

what is this, the 90's?

Erik responds:

I love the 90s
